1. Financial Tools & Calculators (Zero Data Collection)

The financial calculators on WireNorth process your data entirely locally within your web browser. We do not transmit, collect, or store any of the financial numbers you input into these tools. Your privacy is protected by design.

2. Google AdSense & Cookies

WireNorth uses Google AdSense to serve advertisements. Google uses cookies to serve ads based on a user's previous visits to our website or other websites. Google Consent Mode v2 is implemented site-wide: by default ad_storage, ad_personalization, ad_user_data, and analytics_storage are denied. The cookie consent banner gives every visitor a clear Accept / Decline choice, and your selection is persisted locally on this device. You may opt out of personalised advertising at any time by visiting Google Ads Settings (adssettings.google.com) or aboutads.info.

3. Data Collection & CCPA / GDPR / PIPEDA

We respect your data rights. We only collect voluntarily provided information, such as newsletter subscriptions. We comply with relevant data protection laws, including CCPA (California), GDPR (EEA / UK), and PIPEDA (Canada) where applicable. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Analytics & Third-Party Links

We use basic, privacy-respecting analytics to understand site traffic, all gated by the same consent banner. Articles link to external primary sources (regulators, central banks, statistical agencies). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party sites.

5. AI-Assisted Drafting (data we do NOT send to AI)

Some WireNorth articles are drafted with the help of large-language-model tooling. To be clear about what this does NOT mean for visitors: we do not send your browsing history, IP address, email, newsletter subscription, calculator inputs, or any other reader data to AI services. The AI assistance is used only by our editorial workflow on publicly available source material before publication. Drafts produced this way are clearly labelled, carry a WireNorth Newsroom byline, and are marked noindex until a named human editor has reviewed and signed them off. To request a copy of your data or its deletion (e.g., for newsletter subscriptions), please contact us at support@wirenorth.com. We respond within 30 days, the maximum window under GDPR Art. 12.
