About WireNorth
Reader-first financial journalism.
WireNorth is a digital publication focused on clear, calm, and source-cited financial reporting for North American readers. This page explains how we work, who writes for us, and how we research.
Our Mission & Ownership
WireNorth is an independent digital media property. We are not owned by, affiliated with, or funded by any bank, brokerage, credit institution, or asset manager. Our revenue is generated through transparent display advertising, which is always strictly separated from our editorial team. Editorial decisions are not influenced by advertisers, sponsorships, or commercial partnerships.
Editorial Standards
Every published article traces each numeric claim back to a primary source listed beneath the piece. We prefer central banks, regulators, statistical agencies, and the institutions' own filings over secondary reporting. Material errors are corrected at the top of the article with a dated note. Our team does not accept gifts, press junkets, or direct compensation from companies they cover.
How We Research
Every article begins from primary data — Federal Reserve releases, Bank of Canada decisions, CMHC and FHFA statistics, BIS and IMF reports, and the underlying SEC and SEDAR filings. We use modern research tooling, including data-extraction scripts and document-search assistants, to surface the relevant releases and cross-check figures. A named member of the Editorial Desk reviews the final draft before it is published; the byline you see is the team that signed off on the piece, not the individual tools used to assemble it.
Corrections, Tips, and Reader Contact
If you spot an error, please email editorial@wirenorth.com with the article URL and the specific paragraph. Tips and story ideas: tips@wirenorth.com. We do not accept article submissions or sponsored editorial.
The Masthead
WireNorth publishes under a single collective byline — the Editorial Desk. Reach the team directly with a tip, correction, or follow-up.
